Google AI Mode Expands to Chrome Mobile Worldwide

Google AI Mode is officially coming to Chrome on Android and iOS.
The company has begun rolling out an update that adds a visible AI Mode shortcut on the Chrome new tab page, appearing directly below the search bar.

The update brings Google’s conversational AI tools into the browser itself, letting users ask complex, multi-part questions, follow up with related prompts, and get instant, relevant web links.

“This will let you ask more complex, multi-part questions and then dive deeper into a topic with follow-up questions and relevant links,” Google said in a statement.

Google AI Mode Shortcut Reaches 160 Countries

The new Google AI Mode will expand to 160 countries in the coming weeks.
It will also include multi-language support for Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese.

This global release marks one of Google’s fastest feature rollouts for Chrome, reinforcing the company’s focus on AI-powered browsing and making its assistant accessible to millions of users.

Google AI Mode Transforms Chrome

Google first introduced AI Mode in March 2025 through its Labs program.
At I/O 2025, it became available to all U.S. users, turning Chrome into a hybrid platform that combines search, chat, and discovery.

With the new shortcut, users can now launch AI Mode directly without switching to Gemini or Bard.
Industry experts note this is part of Google’s strategy to compete with Microsoft Edge’s Copilot integration.

The Future of Browsing with Google AI Mode

Browsers are evolving fast, and Google AI Mode is a major step toward AI-integrated browsing.
Google aims to merge traditional web search with conversational intelligence, creating a more interactive and responsive browsing experience.

As AI Mode reaches users worldwide, Chrome is evolving from a simple web browser into a smart assistant for the internet age.
